Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and it is a time to raise awareness of mental health challenges that individuals in all communities struggle with and to highlight some of the resources that are available. This year the Vermont Department of Mental Health included in their May newsletter an article regarding the effects of tribal disenrollment on mental health. This is an issue that has not been recognized by Vermont’s healthcare system even though it can have a devastating effect on an individual and their family.
