Sugaring Time
It is the wonderful time of year again when the sap is running and sugar houses are boiling. I have such fond memories of my own experiences helping my father and brothers collect sap and taking it to the sugar house for my grandfather to boil. There was, of course, always the opportunity to taste the fresh sap and the freshly boiled syrup - so good! This year my son tapped a couple of trees on our property to boil is own. I am so happy and proud that he will be carrying on a family and cultural tradition of sugaring.
